A short improvised piece of music and film! I played and recorded the piano at the school where I teach, and then reversed it. You can hear the children playing outside… I added the bass , strings and soprano later. All of this was put together with these images ( from stock library) at the same time. What I mean by this is that I tried to improvise with the images and create the atmosphere with both sound and image. Maybe like the old days of silent cinema .

The second short improvised piece put to images filmed by Taryn Elliott. I’m working on 10 or so of these short videos… trying to create open stories, open to interpretation yet still evoking feeling and thought. As I’ve been working on them however, there does seem to be a theme which is developing throughout and hopefully will become more obvious as the shorts are seen as a collection.
